The Vietnam war was one of the most brutal wars of the 20th century, it was one of the first wars to be broadcast on television and it polarized the nations involved. In all, around 3 million people died. Governments and the military dehumanize their adversaries and soldiers are taught to kill. Unfortunately, this extends to the innocent people caught in the crossfire. When people think of war, they tend to think of it in terms of a winner and a loser. In war, there are no winners just losers. They acknowledge the soldiers that died for our liberty and rightly so, however, it is seldom people talk about the civilian casualties and many remain profoundly ignorant of their stories. This website is a tribute to all those civilians that lost their lives during the Vietnam war, which was between 195,000 – 430,000. The innocent men, women, children, infants, and elderly civilians that died are not lucky enough to tell their story, so I am. Hopefully, one-day humanity moves to a higher state of consciousness, and we can love and respect each other for who we are and sort out our disagreements peacefully rather than with a gun. Amen.
